Where are we?

Located within Perisher Valley, Australia’s largest, highest and most snow-sure ski resort, Carruthers Chalet gives you front‑row access to Perisher’s extensive terrain and commercial centre.

Carruthers Property

The Chalet is located on the northern side of Front Valley with absolute ski-in, ski-out access. It is approximately 60 metres from the main Perisher Centre. The Chalet is snow-bound in winter and guests are provided with complimentary oversnow transfers on arrival and departure from the skitube terminal in our private oversnow vehicle.

Getting to Perisher Valley:
As there is no overnight parking in Perisher Valley we recommend accessing Perisher Valley by the skitube train system from Bullocks Flat, Skitube tickets can be purchased online via the Perisher website. Alternatively, private shuttles and public buses are available from Jindabyne. Further information on accessing Perisher Valley is Here.

International Guests

  • Sydney International Airport (5 hrs drive) is the main international gateway airport for the Australian Ski Resorts and is serviced by many international airlines. Domestic flights are available from Sydney to Canberra and Cooma Airports.
  • Canberra International Airport (2.5 hrs drive) is the closest International Airport and currently supports Fiji Airways who provide flights via Fiji to the USA, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore with codeshare routes to Europe.
  • Cooma (Snowy Mountains) Regional Airport (1 hr drive) is serviced by the domestic Qantas link service from Sydney during the ski season.
  • Jindabyne Aerodrome (30 mins drive) has a 990-metre grass strip suitable for smaller planes.

All international private jets must enter or depart Australia via a designated international airport unless prior permission has been given. Details on entry requirements are available on the Australian Border Force website;
